Favorite Wine: 2010 Norton
Located in a charming downtown setting, this is a little retail location attached to a restaurant with wines made in Rocheport. The Norton was very sturdy and quite capable. I bought a Chambourcin-Cabernet blend and wasn't charged the 4$ tasting fee since I only wanted a taste of the dry reds. This is another winery that specializes in sweet wines. Head towards Hannibal to Cave Hollow at the Mark Twain Cave location (also on Hwy 79) for a good winery experience. I would have liked to have stayed at the restaurant as it looked like a nice place to eat...

Except from having to "buy" the tasting, it was a nice place-but not what I would call a "winery" more of a retail store. The one I really liked they were out of it! I don't think I would go out of my way again to go here.

Do not waste your time on this winery, just drive on past it! They have a restaurant attached to it and it was really good, but then we walked into the 'winery' and we weren't even acknowledged. There was only one lady working it, and she was ringing people up. But we walked around and then waited for about 5-10 minutes and she never even said, "I'll be right with you" or something to that affect. So we left and went to a couple shops near the winery and then came back. She was very nice, but didn't really seem to know anything about the wines except their names and colors. We asked her what would go really well with one of the wines and she couldn't tell us a thing! The tasting was $4 and you get a wine glass with the wineries name etched on it. We were thinking we would taste out of them, but no! we tasted out of little dose cups from the hospital!!! Seriously??? And she didn't even rinse them between wines. And their wasn't really anything special about the wines. Horrible experience, please take my word and don't go.
