Favorite Wine: 2008 Norton

Fantastic owner who is committed to making good wine for all palates. He makes sweet wines for the sweet wine crowd, but excels in the dry wine sector by making a fantastic Norton that is distinctive for this part of the state. Neat atmosphere with live music offerings, food, a good dog to pet, and good wine. Certainly a highlight of the county!

Favorite Wine: Ridge Top Red (sweet)

Upcoming winery with a lot of potential! The drive to the location is a bit unexpected, but the winery itself is nice, although small (probably 20-30 people max). The owner was very friendly and open to suggestion about his wine. The wines themselves tended on the sweeter side. They have a persimmon wine that was unique, but not quite my cup of tea. Hopefully as the winery grows the quality of the wine will mature as well. I would give Persimmon Ridge a chance if you are in the area!
