Situated on a dry sandstone cliff above the beautiful Niangua River, this winery is home to wines made in California and a nice wine shop inside. Located on the grounds of a historic fishing lodge and later mental hospital, Casa de Loco has done a remarkable job with reinventing this beautiful property. They don't produce a Norton, but their California wines are pretty nice for California. Excellent staff, and they make wood fired pizza in the restaurant. They cater to wedding parties and big groups, but one on one they're extremely friendly and welcoming. Excellent view of the river and seating in a sandstone shelter, one of only a few in Gunter sandstone in the county.
