Favorite Wine: Tombstone Madame
I live in Tucson and decided to try the wineries, Jim at the Elgin Winery was great. The wines were wonderful, I like sweeter wines and the Tombstone Madame was the best wine I had all day. The weather was cold, but the winery was warm and inviting. Really like this place and see why they get the high ratings.

Favorite Wine: Sweet Rerserve Naughty Monkey
I saw the Tombstone label in Tombstone and wanted to try their wine. I tied several wines and all were great. I appriciate that the winery uses only Arizona grapes. The people were real and genuine. Really love "The Sweet Reserve Naughty Monkey" The Naughty Monkey is also great, Better chilled.

I live in Tucson, and whenever I take friends out to vineyards in the Elgin area, the Village of Elgin is our first stop. It's a wonderful place for a group as they have such a variety - from sweet to dry. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and I (and those I am with) have never been disappointed.

Favorite Wine: Tombstone Red
Went down this weekend and there was a wine tasting event involving all of the wineries. This was our top favorite! We like both sweet and dry, they had us covered. The owner walked in while we were there and brought some fresh breadsticks that were as amazing as the wines. We will always come back here. The staff is great, the wines are fantastic and the variety is best.

We loved this winery! The people were great and went out of their way to see my wine was shipped as we were on extended trip and could not take it with us. This is a great winery with wonderful wines.

Favorite Wine: Naughty Monkey(four Monkey), Andrew, and Tombstone Red
Just attended the winery today with my family and we had a great time. I got a little bit worried about the negative review down here and decided to give it another visit since it was a little bit over a year since my last time there. All I have to say is that what that guy wrote is BS. The staff really knows wine and are very friendly. Love the server, she made our visit wonderful. Been here a few times now, enjoyed every single visit. Can't wait to go back.

Favorite Wine: Old World Cuvee
Just attended the Wine Festival with three friends and had a wonderful time. Don't know where that other person got such mean service, but it wasn't there. Great variety for the driest to the sweetest. Everybody was super nice. My friends were visiting from New York and Las Vegas and had a fabulous time.

I have been visiting Arizona Wine Country for about 10 years and have seen the industry grow. I have never been to the Village of Elgin Winery and had them be rude or talk ill of the other wineries. As a matter of fact I have never heard anything bad from any of the Arizona wineries about another winery in Arizona. I love this place because it has a great selection of wines including the sweeter wines, which I prefer. My favorite wines in the area are the older 3, Callaghan, Sonoita and Elgin.

We were treated like dirt, the staff badmouthed the other wineries, and the wines weren't interesting. Sounds like what most folks are saying about Rancho Rossa; I wonder if they're related. In any case, VoE is at the top of our never-go-back list. We won't be buying any Four Monkeys, Charron or Domaines Ellam, either; they're all tarred with the same brush.

Favorite Wine: Old World Cuve
The best wine tasting room staff in the area, they taste wines for themselves and Four Monkey Winery, which they own. The Four Monkey Wines are by far the best in Arizona, but there are several stars here also. You must try the Old World Cuve and the Tombstone Gunslinger. Highly recommend this winery to everyone.

I strongly recommend this winery to everyone. We went to the Sonoita wineries this weekend and they have the nicest tasting area and best attitudes and wine in the state. We appreciated the fact that everyone in our party was able to find wines they enjoyed and we bought several cases. BEST WINES, BEST PRICES! We will be back for the wine festival.

Came here after we visited Kief-Joshua Vineyards, glad we stopped, we have found a few wines we will get up in Phoenix. I told them that the other guys (not Kief-Joshua, they were excellent) were talking smack about them, they just shrugged it off and said, "our wines speak for themselves" The suggested that we go to all the other wineries, we told them we would not return because of another winery owner and they told us where we can get their wines in Phoenix. They were some of the best attitudes and wines in the southern area.

Favorite Wine: Tombstone Red
This is our 5th year in Southern Arizona during the winter. This is our favorite winery. They moved the tasting room from the old bordello building to the building that had the bottling line in it. Every time we come here we buy 2 or more cases. They have the best selections and wines. We came down over the weekend and there were a number of wineries open not on this list. They gave us a list of every winery in the area. Jim is almost as fun as the owner. Keep it up!

Favorite Wine: Playful Monkey Cabernet Sauvignon
While visiting family in Phoenix we decided to go the the Arizona "Wine Country". I live in California in the real Wine Country and had to see for myself what Arizona Wine was about. We were told by some of the other wineries in the area that the Village of Elgin Winery only makes sweet wine and since we only liked dry wines we should not even bother. Boy are they FOS. Our favorite Arizona wine came from this winery, a Cabernet Sauvignon named Playful Monkey, the wine has perfect balance, superb tannin and the right amount of fruit. This is the best wine we have yet to encounter outside of California. The tasting room was a little crowded when we got there and I see why, great people and great wines. If anyone tells you to leave them off your list, DON'T!

We always stop here when we come to AZ. Our favorite place. They moved the tasting room from the old bordello to a really nice little building right next to the winery. Tables set up out front so that you can relax. This is the most laid back and nicest staff in AZ.

This was our fourth winery of the day. The tasting room was a bit crowded, but after fiveinutes you understood why. The owner is a great showman and has a wonderful personality. Most definately the most knowledgeable person in the Arizona wine business. His wines have great balance. He nailed our favorites at the other wineries as his picks to sample for some other customers going on. The Tombstone Gunslinger and all of the Four Monkey Wines were great! Our vote for the best in the area, great wine, great attitude and promotes everyone in the area. Thank you!!

Favorite Wine: Old World Cuvee
We are old hacks at this wine tasting game, that being said, we decided to branch out from our native California to try the Southwest. A huge selection of wine. The building was an old bordello and the owner is great. He really knows wine and has a genuine love for his art, he spoke highly of all of the other wineries, something you just don't get in CA. The wines: Old World Cuvee, this wine is phenominal, one of our favourites, period. We also found a review of this wine in the book "Food Luvs Wine" and it is the featured wine on the book's website. They are also building a new winery and had some wines from it there, the Vita, Amore ed Arte is a pure joy, superb wine. Tombstone Red, a bit sweet for my taste but my wife loved it, she suggested to buy it and serve with BBQ. It went really well. We also liked the Dry Rose. We enjoyed the wines so much we bought several cases, they have a great deal for customers at the winery. Our favourite experience of the Southern Arizona Wineries!!!!!

Favorite Wine: Old World Cuvee
Real and genuine people. The winery has allot of wines, sweet to dry. I really liked the Old World Cuvee, I saw a write up in the book Food Luvs Wine. The Tombstone Red was great, a bit fruity but was excellent with BBQ and Mexican food.
