Nothing caught my attention enough to want to buy a bottle of their wine. I won't say the serving staff was rude they were too busy to give each customer the attention they deserve when trying their wine for the first time. When we visited the customers were 3 deep waiting for someone to serve them.

Favorite Wine: Petite Syrah
Very beautiful on the inside. The staff was knowledgeable, but seemed off, spent more attention on the couple buying 8 bottles of wine than on us buying 2 bottles. Wine was extremely expensive as well.

Hmmm. Do not understand the previous entry. Torre di Pietra is a delightful ambience and the wines are surprisingly good. Their sweet whites (which I prefer) are excellent. The people were not at all unfriendly, but the place was crowded. On balance, I would say they could do the wine tasting in a more organized, pleasant way. The tasting room really feels more like a store (they could take notes from Flat Creek Estate), but other than that, the ambience is excellent.

Favorite Wine: None
This winery epitomises the old Texas wines which ruined the states reputation in the last 10 years. Fortunately most have moved on whereas this winery has not. The wines are marketed as unique and I don't disagree with that. So unique in fact that they barely resemble drinkable wine. The carignan wine was undrinkable unless you lie the overpowering smell of olives, one bottle served has a musty odour and when challenged was rejected as normal ! The final insult was a $50 port which was cloudy, rancid and tannic. Now I can see why the tasting room is so dark, luckily I had a flashlight and could witness the appalling quality control. Couple this with disinterested staff and it's a perfect combination to avoid.
