@ John Cook, you were a club member for years and only rated the wine 2 stars? not saying much for yourself! I found it nice, didnt like the knotty pine box feel. I think if they last as long as the vineyard has, they will be something to behold! @ The Norton Wine Travelers...... Snobs!

How to destroy your business in a down economy in one easy lesson? Poor customer service. Hinnant Family has done well with their muscadine selections, however, their other wines (which are actually produced elsewhere and rebranded) are of lesser quality, but not less expensive. Having been a "wine club" member for years I was informed today that they had purged their records of anyone that had not met their most recent purchase expectations. When I requested that my last case purchase be found in the computer I was informed that only the tired folders had the needed information, and that they were "doing things differently". I wish to thank Hinnant Family for pushing me elsewhere, and broadening my horizons. Perhaps they will do well as a wedding chapel and road-side attraction. When the cellar is dry I will visit again, but certainly no sooner than necessary.

The whole experience was wonderful. Met Wes he is such a joy to talk to. The wines are really good muscadine wines. Found out they are the largest Muscadine Vineyards in NC.

Norton Wine Review: Though Hinnant Family Vineyards “specializes” in muscadine type wines, they did offer a Chardonnay and an $11 Norton which we ordered. Now we have the dilemma of what to say about this Norton wine without being caustic. As a former military pilot, I did like the label portraying a Wright Flyer making its way somewhere over the Outer Banks. The nose bouquet highlighted complex barnyard flavors. It is truly amazing the efforts North Carolina is making with their wine industry (replacing tobacco), but we have been dreadfully disappointed with all their vineyard grown grape wines encountered so far. Great VISIT! The staff is very inviting. The have a really good Merlot and Chardoney. Some of the Muscadines were pretty good. Their fruit wines not so much. Wish they had a patio to enjoy.
