Favorite Wine: Vintners White

I have to agree with everyone - a little touristy, o.k. wines, and why oh why do you have to take the sales pitch tour to do a tasting. The building was very classy, the prices very good, the tour guide/salesman was very fun and kept people interested. That aside - it would be a great trip for someone new to tasting though.

Though I haven't actually been to this winery, I did pick up a special (to me) bottle at the gift shop at the St. Augustine Light Gift shop. This bottle had a label with the St. Augustine Light on it. Wine bottles with lighthouses on the label are a newer colection I have started. In April 2012, I finally got to visit. Free tasting and tour!! Cant beat that. Very much recommend a visit.

Favorite Wine: Reserva and Port

Touristy is an apt description for this place. Wine is good and the tour was ok. Was a bigger operation for the "local winery". Good to stop in though if your in the area and are new to the muscadine grape varitels.

Nice winery, but had to take the tour to do the tastings. Would be nice to just be able to do tasting. Wines were reasonably priced.

With this being a tourist town the price of wine was very reasionable the wine was ok I have had better. Was in a hurry that day, a lot of trouble to buy 2 bottles of wine (had to take a tour to taste) Would have been great if I had time

Bit touristy for my taste... but that is St. Augustine for ya. Ok wines, but the PORT was yummy... go for the Port! Actually came back for more.
