Nice spot. Great pizza, good salad. Wines ok, nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is what sold the place.

Favorite Wine: hoosier red

First the good - really neat old building, nice history and some great information from the person who was not "officially" working the bar. The wines were O.K. - not great but certainly not bad. The food looked great, and we were going to dine there, but chose not to which leads to the bad. The young man who started our tasting explained that he was not the wine counter person, and that he would start us (thumbs up - great knowledgeable guy)but the other person would be with us shortly. The counter person shows up, sees we have a tasting going and says he will be right with us. He then walks back and forth the entire length of the bar several times before going back toward the kitchen to eat some pizza with another employee. A 2nd couple then walks up and he comes down to get them started (walking past us) and spends the next 10 minutes with them. Not a big problem until he leaves them, walks right past us again and back to the kitchen area to continue his lunch. My wife is now pissed, gets up and we put the cash for our tasting on the bar and start to leave. The original person (not working the bar) comes over and asks if we'd like to finish our tasting while counter boy stands in the kitchen watching as if nothing's wrong. I know places have good and bad days, and we probably caught them on a bad day, but this is a 3 hour drive for us to get here, and we won't be back. Sorry - you guy's missed out on a lunch sale and at least 1 bottle of wine.

Favorite Wine: Neyron Red, Vidal Blanc

I have visited this place, and it's a very nice environment in New Albany. It has very good wines, including some very unique ones. I loved the Neyron Red (a dry red with a very satisfying flavor), the Vidal Blanc (a very crisp white wine ), the Fire Engine Red (a Chambourchin Rose wine), and the Market House Apricot (a sweet fruity wine). I also have tried their Triple Berry Cyclone, which is great too. I also liked the food at this place because they have very unique pizzas.
