Very nice venue. Outgoing and friendly staff. The grounds are beautiful as are the views. We did a wine tasting at the bar and then took a glass out on the patios and just sat there for several hours. Very enjoyable day at their winery.

Wonderful winery. Loved the wine, the view and the overall atmosphere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were very reasonable and good selection of wine. Its a must stop for locals or if you are visiting from out of state. Highly recommend this winery..

WE had our wedding here. It is beautiful. The wine and service is wonderful. They are so accommodating. We stopped by after hours once and they opened back up so we could grab a few bottles. Love this place..

We stopped on a Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m. - not a soul around but the building was wide open. We could hear vacuuming in the back, and decided to see if the person working could help us find the server. Turns out that's who we encountered. The tasting was pleasant - the tasting room is cavernous (they hold weddings here). The front entry foyer is large and full of neat nick-nacks. The wine was good, but not spectacular. We brought home a bottle of the Castle Red - a smooth blend with light oakiness. Overall a good visit.

After reading the other posts and viewing the winery website, we were anxious to stop. Sadly, the gates were open on a Saturday afternoon but the winery doors were locked. I could hear the phone ring when I called...echoing in this large facility...wonk...

This is the prettiest winery in Kentucky. I had my wedding there this past year and it was so beautiful. Everything was perfect for us. The staff had everything set up when we arrived. They were so helpful. we had several spills and messes during our reception and they did not seem to mind and were always there cleaning things up for us to keep it nice. My husband and I and our families were very impressed with the place and the staff. It couldn't have gone any smoother and I know it is because they helped us every step of the way from when we booked it over a year earlier. We highly recommend this place for someone looking for a venue. We loved the wine too. Bethany!!

This place is by far our favorite winery. We have visited so many in Kentucky and Indiana. We also had our wedding there last October (2011). Everything was so nice. Staff was so friendly. The place was beautiful. They worked so hard to make everything perfect for us. I just cannot say enough good things about them. Just to comment on the previous post. I know they close sometimes if the place is rented for a private party. Just call before you head that way. Their wine is so good. I like sweet wines and their wine is not Too sweet like so many of the fruit wines at other places. The place is great. We had problems with our D.J. and our cake person. Our D.J. was not as prepared as he should have been but Kim and one of her bartenders took care of getting the D.J. organized. Then our cake person was late but Kim knew who they were and had their cell phone and was able to call and find out what the issue was. It could all have been a complete disaster but they handled everything. It made the day wonderful instead of a catastrophe. If you are looking for a place for a wedding or any event you should seriously check this place out. Very happy Bride!!

It seems their posted and stated hours of operation vary based on the whim of the staff. Made 2 attempts to visit this winery recently - during their "hours of operation". The first day - was told, in person, that while they were supposed to be open no one was at the winery that day and to please come back in a few days. I asked what time they would be open on the day they wanted us to come back and was told they would be open from 10am to 6pm. When we arrived at 4pm (which does fall between 10am and 6pm) we were turned away with the statement, "We have already closed down for the day." Needless to say we won't make any more attempts. While my business obviously means nothing to this place - I've heard from several different wineries that they have also been hearing the same comments from quite a few travelers. Good luck to anyone visiting this winery.

My company just had our Annual party at Castle Hill. We had Casino night. We had approximately 180 employees there and everyone had a great time. I had never been to Castle Hill before. The grounds were highly manicured. The inside of the building is like nothing you would expect. The floors are concrete but they have grape vines carved into them and stained and then highly waxed. Beautiful. The food was fantastic. I tried many of the wines and liked all of them. I went back and purchased some of their wines this week. The people who work there were very friendly and the bartenders were so patient with me allowing my wife and I to try what ever type of wines that we wanted. Very Nice. Great views. The Patios sit up high on a hillside. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. Great night!! I highly recommend this place.

I had my wedding at Castle Hill this past May. I just wanted to thank everyone there for making my wedding so special. My wedding day could not have been any better. I think that my wedding turned out so great because of the staff and Kim at castle hill. Everything was so organized and perfect. The wine was fabulous. All of my guests loved it. Thanks to everyone at Castle Hill for making my wedding so special.

I love this winery. They have eleven different wines and I have tried them all. I have not been disappointed in any of them. I prefer a dry red but I have tried many wines around the United States and out of country and I would put this wineries wine up there with the best. The Winery itself is very interesting. The building has many historical reused antique architectural features. There is much history in the building. The grounds are beautiful and there is a great view of a Castle. It is fun to go to this winery, sit on the patios and sample their wines. I stop every chance I am in town.!!!

This is not a winery in the true sense of the word. If you want good wine and knowledgeable staff, go elsewhere.

Called this winery, got a recording. Website said tasting on Saturdays. Arrived only to find out there was a wedding. Very bad customer service. Should have info on their recording letting customers know the winery is closed for a special event. Gas is expensive you know.

Was very disappointed -- made the trip out of my way to visit the winery. Was told that they only do tastings by appointment. This was not indicated on their page.
