Tasting room is offsite no where near winery. Tough to find when you map out the vineyard only. Wines were ok at best. All very dry, no sweet or semi-sweet and they were just ok. No seating inside.

Favorite Wine: 2006 Syrah

Very nice winery with good sized acreage. In town is the tasting room which is tastefully done. Nice seating and setting right alongside a mountain stream. We really appreciated the cheese case and really like an English Cheddar they had in addition to several nice Vermont options. Hurricane Irene in August actually put up to 18 inches of water in the tasting room and took away all of their maple syrup so we didn't get to try any of that. If we hadn't asked we would have never known they had just completed a pretty remarkable recovery. We liked all of the wines here. We were coaxed into trying the Chardonnays. One steel the other oaked. We liked both but the oaked better. Like other wineries in the area, the vinifera is brought in from California and crushed, processed, etc. on-site. We tried several reds which we liked. None were big and bold. The oaked varieties were done so very lightly. Our favorite by far was the 2006 Syrah. Very big yet clean fruit flavor with more of the peppery finish than other Northeast Syrah's we encountered. I am tempted to give the Syrah a 4 star rating but will leave it at a very strong 3.
