Favorite Wine: St. Vincent

We really liked the winemaker here. He is just a very nice guy. Unfortunately, we didn't really like the wines or the ambiance of the tasting room. The view down the hill across the vineyards toward the lake was nice though. The wines, with the possible exception of the St. Vincent, we're 1 and 2 stars (out of 5). They all tasted similar with what seemed to be a soapy taste. Not as soapy or disagreeable as the ones we had at Endless Summer in Missouri but toward that end of the spectrum. He had many fruit wines here that we're semi-sweet to maybe semi-dry like Endless Summer had. And again, if this is a particular style, we have a long way to go before we learn how to appreciate it. The one exception, mabe to this was a enjoyable, by comparison to the rest of the wines here, again was the St. Vincent.
