Turtle Run Winery

Our visit to Turtle Run was very nice - the lady pouring was very attentive and knew the wines well. The wines were all decent, with the Cab Franc standing out as well as a Chambourcin that was very good. The grounds are well kept and it looks like a great place to take a picnic. Overall visit was very good!

Favorite Wine: none.. i tried 5 before i stopped too many shiraz mixes.

had a lot of mixed wines.. not many single varieties. place was very crowded, and not a good place for a novice. very beautiful grounds and live music.

Favorite Wine: Painted Red

This is a very nice winery. It is a great place to go if you want to get a feel for dry wines. They also have quite a few sweet wines as well. These are the wines I have tried that I loved: the Painted Red (a blend of dry red wines with vignoles), Zinfandel (a dry red with two options), Syrah, 2009 Vignoles, Traminette, Catherine's Blend (a sweet white), and Pop's Port (a sweet blend of red wines).

Out of the way, mom and pop style winery with cozy atmosphere. Wines were great
