Monkey Hollow Winery

Visited Monkey Hollow today, was very busy, but not so busy that customer service should be lacking. There was a waiting line to get to the tasting counter, but they seemed to be getting through quickly, so our turn comes up and we get a new employee as a server. That's fine - everyone needs to start somewhere and the young man was trying. He wasn't the problem. problem was the bossy young woman who yanked him away from us so he could open bottles for her while she didn't interrupt her tasting group (but what about us?). She then told him to go get more wine out of the back while we still stood there waiting. Eventually the manager comes over and finishes our tasting (we only had 1 of 6 left)and complains that the young man wasn't working hard. I corrected her and she just rolled her eyes. First time in a year I've left a winery without taking something home - oh and it wasn't a great loss - the wines weren't that good. The winery setting was nice - way out in the country. I know we all have our bad days, and I have cut some slack for very busy visits before, but I didn't care for the managers/other servers attitude toward the young man who was serving us. I doubt I'll be back here anytime soon.
