Glacial Till Vineyard (written May 22, 2012)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 1 stars
My fellow Goobers and I set out on a sunny Sunday, intent on spending an afternoon savoring wine, laughter, and conversation with good friends. After a quick lunch we went in search of Glacial Till in Palmyra. I’ll spare you the agonizing details (four thirsty women in a car driving in circles in search of an elusive winery….you do the math!). After more than an hour (yes…an HOUR!) we finally found the entrance to Glacial Till…drove up to the building, drove around the building, drove back to the road with a “what the heck???” mentality. There was no entrance to a winery. There were no cars. The only sign of life other than some lovely grape vines was a man on a tractor (who didn’t seem to notice us). I’d love to tell you how good the wine is at Glacial Till (because I have it on good authority that it IS quite good) I can’t say because we had to regroup and go in search of a different winery.

James Arthur Vineyards (written Dec 19, 2011)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
The WineGoobers chose James Arthur for a December gathering. We arrived shortly after they opened and settled in with a bottle of Heartland White. It was fruity, and sweet but not TOO sweet. We liked it so much that we had another bottle later on! We also tried Edelweiss, San Realto (not so great..a bit like a bubbly T.J. Swan!). We tried the Sparkling Edelweiss, which was also good, but not as good as the regular Edelweiss. The employees were friendly, the atmosphere was delightful, and we all agreed this was a great afternoon out!

Soaring Wings Vineyard (written Nov 02, 2011)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
I've visited Soaring Wings several times with friends. It's a great way to spend an evening, sitting on the hill listening to the band with a good bottle of wine and good friends. You can bring your own snacks and watch the sun go down. I highly recommend it!

SchillingBridge Winery and MicroBrewery (written Sep 13, 2011)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
The other WineGoobers and I visited ShillingBridge on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in late August. The service was excellent, our server was friendly and knew all about all of the wines available. We tried Forever Venus, Edelweis, and Blue Diamond. Each wine was better than the previous one. We sat on the patio, which overlooks the vineyard, the view was spectacular and we were frequently checked on to be sure we didn't need anything. This is a must see on your vineyard tour of Nebraska!
