I was driving through the state on my way to D.C.
got of the freeway and found this winery.
It was nice to see that they were hands on people not afraid put some muscle in their work. they grow their own grapes and it was a real winery not some stuffy tasting room. The wines were pleasant.

Quiet. Good wines. Only gewurtraminer in this wine region.

South River is a must visit winery.
unlike the other local winerys with a party atmosphere, it tends to be a quite, medatative place.
The staff has always been polite, however you sometimes have to wait in line on a Saturday afternoon.
