Chateau O'Brien at Northpoint Winery (written Aug 10, 2009)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
I've been to this winery about 4 times over the last 2 years, and every time the owner and workers have been both pleasant and friendly. The tasting room is attractive, and the view from the deck quite something. The mascot, Buddy, adds much to the ambiance, and is a neat little devil. Funny, but the owner always seems to tell me that Buddy is "a bit grumpy today" (or something along those lines), so I suspect it's always best to let him approach you. Finally, my traveling companion has exceptional taste, and likes their wines. Thus,I'll give the wine a "4". I never drink and drive.
