Pahrump Valley Winery

Stopped in on the way back from Death Valley, great winery - lots of grapes growing on site. Many wines to choose from - fantastic dry reds, decent whites (Chardonnay was very good). We left with the Rose to have in the room when we got back to Las Vegas. Only downside - eight people at the bar, 1 server (2 of them industry folks) - so service was slow and rushed when pouring for the 6 of us remaining.

Favorite Wine: Lokin Label Cab.

Enjoyed our time at the winery and found the staff and owners very friendly. The drive to the winery was very enjoyable. The winery itself is very nice. Gretchen Lokin (owner) did the tour we went on and was very entertaining and informative. Their Lokin label reds were the best for us. Just had the sherry last night over ice cream and loved it. Great place with great wines!

Favorite Wine: Syrah

The winery just underwent a makeover, and it looks like an upscale, California-style winery now! Wines are good, and they also just started growing their OWN estate grapes, but most are still imported from Cali. They have a restaurant on premise that is quite good...best in Pahrump (which isn't saying much), but worth it.
