Norton Wine Review: (2004 Rouge Militaire): A bouquet of acetone with a deep burning taste that can completely dehydrate one’s mouth in moments. I’m not sure what the color is, but it ain’t rouge. Yep, another plain, wishful thinking, American Rogue Norton wannabe. Ordered a second bottle just to make sure that my crude remarks were not tainted by a bad bottle. Uhhh, second bottle confirmed our rating. [Ignore our Winery & Ambiance rating since we did not personally go to the actual vineyard]

This vinyard produces a great variety of wines that are primarily sold to the best New Orleans restaurants. We're in the wine club and get three great bottles every quarter. If you are in the New Orleans area try to catch one of their Jazz in the Vines events - you might just catch one of the Neville Bros. and have some great wine - yes - in Louisiana
