Stone's Throw Winery & Restaurant (written Oct 12, 2008)

We stopped back. We gave this winery another try. I'm sorry, but our overall opinion has not changed. They were arrogant but not quite as snobby as before. The wine isn't anything special. Honest! It's expensive and really doesn't need to be. I think the entry from Whinesnob on 9/30 is the owner. People love Door County so they natually assume everything in Door County is wonderful and a lot of it is. I don't mind over paying for average or subpar quality but at least be nice to me while you're doing it. I'm sticking to my original comment to go to Simon Creek in Door County - you'll have a better time and the quality of wine is better.

This is a wonderful winery located in beautiful Door County Wisconsin. Always a popular place on weekends not only because of the wine but the added bonus of live music and quite often, dancing too. The people are Door County friendly, the wine is excellent and really some of the best wine. Enjoy this rural farm setting and the wine. Highly recommended - highly endorsed by local experts!

These are VERY arrogant people. They are snobs. They are wine snobs. They are so very rude and snotty. They wine is average at best - it's nothing really special. The guy who runs it is really full of himself. Ask them if they have cherry wine and he'll tell you that they make pies from their cherries. What an ass - you make jelly from grapes! Want good Door County wine? Go to Simon Creek. Better wine - better people.
