Bynum Winery (written Dec 29, 2008)
Wine: 1 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 1 stars
I wish I had something pleasant to post here, but considering the old, bitter owner told us to leave his property just because we got there 30 minutes prior to opening and I let my dog out on her leash to stretch her legs (we were standing in the driveway... she was not relieving herself). He was rude and when I stated that we were there to do business he said he didn't need our business and told us to get off his property that it was posted no trespassing on the front of the winery building... ooooook. Also as a side note, his vinyard was obviously ill-tended and overgrown with weeds, and the winery itself was an old mechanic's shop/gas station... also run down and ill-kept.

Grey Bear Vineyards (written Dec 29, 2008)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
Very unique and incredible wines. This is not just a hobby to these people. Their selection is fantastic, and they have a restaurant over their tasting room that is open on Friday and Saturday nights.

Eichenberg Winery (written Dec 29, 2008)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
This winery is located in a sleepy bedroom community called Cole Camp. BEAUTIFUL little german-heritage town. The winery is located in town so you don't see the vinyards at this one, but the building is wonderful. Nice selection of wines... a pretty good apple wine, but I suggest the Rosawein.

Pirtle Winery (written Dec 29, 2008)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 3 stars
One of the few wineries that offer Mead. Pretty good selection, but seems that they have a different selection at Berbiglia liquor store than in their winery. Located in an old church, across the street from a fine cafe, and around the corner from a brewery on a historic Weston street.
