Latest Wine Journal Entries

Carlson Vineyards (written Sep 24, 2008)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
Carlson's is regionally renowned for its fruit wines, especially the cherry. Many of the traditional wines are decent too, especially the whites

Colorado Cellars (written Sep 24, 2008)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
The winery setting is exceptional, with the Grand Mesa as a backdrop. The southwestern spanish style stucco and tile building is visually appealing, set on the edge of a terrace overlooking the river valley and the area vinyards. In addition to many varieties of wine, they offer a straight and a spiced mead (the spiced is quite good).
