Emerine Estates (written May 25, 2009)
Wine: 1 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 2 stars
We have heard a lot about your winery so we thought we would take a chance & visit it. We should have gotten back into the car when we saw wines that were flavors of candles (Carmel apples? really? where was the chocolate chip?) To say you don't put any sugars in your wines is a fallacy - you have to put something in them to make them as syrupy sweet as they are - in fact they all taste the same....BAD. I think I had better wine from the bum that bought me Boonesfarm when I was 16 years old. The only thing these wines are missing is a screw on cap. And to think you charge $19.50 a bottle.. the only thing worse than that is that we were stupid enough to buy it!! Emerine Estates...Emerwine Escapes! The owner (Jason) couldn’t ever pronounce Noir!! Should have known something was up when we pulled in & there we no vineyards!!! Sorry but we will never be back again.
