Sonoita Vineyards (written Dec 19, 2007)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
Our final winery. The oldest in the area. We had excellent tasting suggestions from the owner of the Elgin Winery. All the wines he suggested were excellent. He nailed our tastes. The Pinot is very good, strongly recommended. Very nice to end the day on a good note after the horrible experience we had at Rancho Rossa.

Village of Elgin Winery (written Dec 19, 2007)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
This was our fourth winery of the day. The tasting room was a bit crowded, but after fiveinutes you understood why. The owner is a great showman and has a wonderful personality. Most definately the most knowledgeable person in the Arizona wine business. His wines have great balance. He nailed our favorites at the other wineries as his picks to sample for some other customers going on. The Tombstone Gunslinger and all of the Four Monkey Wines were great! Our vote for the best in the area, great wine, great attitude and promotes everyone in the area. Thank you!!

Callaghan Vineyards (written Dec 19, 2007)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
During our weekend visit we stopped here third. Very good wines, the owners were a nice refreshing change from the putz at Rancho Rossa. The winery is a working one and open, we thought all of the wines we sampled were great.

Rancho Rossa Vineyards (written Dec 19, 2007)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 1 stars
We visited the Sonoita area wineries last weekend. The wines here a fairly good, however the male owner is an assh*le. During our visit a guy came in, clearly he was mentally challenged, and this guy started yelling and berating the man. Told him to leave or he would call the local law enforcement. As I said the wines were decent, but I would never recommend this place to anyone.
