Eagle's Nest Inn and Winery (written Jul 27, 2009)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 1 stars
Do not waste your time on this winery, just drive on past it! They have a restaurant attached to it and it was really good, but then we walked into the 'winery' and we weren't even acknowledged. There was only one lady working it, and she was ringing people up. But we walked around and then waited for about 5-10 minutes and she never even said, "I'll be right with you" or something to that affect. So we left and went to a couple shops near the winery and then came back. She was very nice, but didn't really seem to know anything about the wines except their names and colors. We asked her what would go really well with one of the wines and she couldn't tell us a thing! The tasting was $4 and you get a wine glass with the wineries name etched on it. We were thinking we would taste out of them, but no! we tasted out of little dose cups from the hospital!!! Seriously??? And she didn't even rinse them between wines. And their wasn't really anything special about the wines. Horrible experience, please take my word and don't go.

This was my first winery, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. But I really enjoyed myself, and the wines were pretty good. The have very interesting blends. The winery was beautiful, horses and all. I wish I would of walked around it, but I'm not sure if you're allowed to do that.
