Sonoita Vineyards (written Nov 06, 2012)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
This was our first stop on the second day of wine tasting in AZ. Not disappointed here at all. A large tasting bar with great people. Kathleen was our pouring person that morning. Good wines and moderatly priced. Made good copy for my wine blog. The outside was great place to sip and enjoy. I regret that we didn't because it was early and even no where was it 5:00. I really like the Hibiscus flower with the sparkling wine. A real different taste for sure.

Kief-Joshua Vineyards (written Nov 06, 2012)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
What a great find. This was our last stop for the first day of the wine trail. Save the best for last they say. The tasting room was of Italian Gothic and you felt like you were in Rome. Kief was pouring that day and was in no hurry as his hous is above the tasting room. The wines were very good and priced right. The view from the read deck was superb and we enjoyed a great bottle of Magdelena Wine. Made from the Barbera Grape it was a great find and my favorite. A great way to end the day for sure.

Callaghan Vineyards (written Nov 06, 2012)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 2 stars
Doing a wine tour of the Elgin and Willcox area of Arizona Callaghan's was on the list. A working winery for sure. The tasting time is a bit odd, shutting down at 4:00PM but we made it there. The girl behing the barrels was more interested in the two boys tasting next to us, but that was ok as we got to let the wine settle in. The wines were a bit $$$ but generally good. Goldies was a washout but I did like Catlins and Mourvedre. It was good to see an actual working winery & tasting area.

Wilhelm Family Vineyards (written Oct 29, 2012)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
I found this winery to be an enjoyable adventure into Arizona Wines. The Tasting Room was a pleasure to be in and the views are breathtaking. I had the pleasure of talking with Karyl the Owner. Her knowlege and understanding what it takes to run a winery is overwhelming. She is talented and if you can pin her down a person to take a sip with.

Fabbioli Cellars (written Sep 09, 2012)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
As a wine blogger, I have to say Fabbioli was a great choice. A bit of off road drive but well worth the trip. Sat around the fire pit and made some great friends there. People from Long Island NY. Be back again for sure.

Crooked Lake Winery (written May 19, 2012)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 1 stars
My recent experience with Crooked Lake Winery was at the Lilac Festival in Rochester NY. This was the first winery I visited out of the eight others that were there. It was not a pleasant one. I blame the person pouring the wine. For the most part the wines were great but you also need a person that is a bit more friendly with those tasting. I asked where the winery is and he showed me the label and said right there. As a person from VA, I did not know "where" was. Anyway, like I said the wines were good specially the Diamond. The Cayuga White was a great choice also. I do hope that if I actually get a chance to visit the winery I won't run into the same person once again.
