Favorite Wine: Boutier Pinot Noir
An unexpected surprise, very nice little winery. She has an excellent Pinot Noir from California. I only tried 6 wines on this visit but I will definitely go back to try some more. This is a great space to have a small wedding or party.
Crane Creek Vineyards (written Sep 13, 2012)

If you are looking for a winery experience wherein you are invited and encouraged to hang out and relax, this is the place for you. Wines were very good. Suggestion to management: waive the tasting fee with purchase.
Montaluce Winery and Estates (written Sep 13, 2012)

Beautiful Tuscan setting. Request to have your tasting on the upstairs veranda if possible. Pricey, but good wine and nice restaurant. Free tours every Saturday afternoon.
Stony Mountain Vineyards (written Sep 13, 2012)

Nice people, though they were overwhelmed with a small rush of patrons. Beautiful scenery. Alot of muscadines, but a few dryer selections too.
Uwharrie Vineyards (written Sep 13, 2012)
Wine: Winery: Ambiance:
Good wines, mostly muscadines and sweeter than I care for. Nice tasting area and gift shop. I was somewhat put off that my server, friendly as she was, would pour my wine and stand there and watch me taste and stare at me until I commented. But she gave me decent pours, crackers and chocolates :)
Rocky River Vineyards (written Sep 13, 2012)
Wine: Winery: Ambiance:
Quaint family operation. Mostly muscadines which I don't care for, but found a cab/merlot blend that was pretty good.
Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards (written Sep 13, 2012)
Wine: Winery: Ambiance:
Nice tour and tasting experience. Not alot of places to hang out, so just plan on a tour, a tasting, gift shop and move on.
La Belle Amie Vineyard (written Sep 13, 2012)

Worth the trip if you are in the Myrtle Beach area. They have alot of weekend activities. Most wines are too sweet for my tastes, but friendly people.
Frogtown Cellars (written Sep 13, 2012)

Only visited during the Georgia Wine Hwy and it was one of my last stops, so I don't recall the quality of the wine, but the tasting area and grounds are beautiful.
Dennis Vineyards and Winery (written Sep 13, 2012)

Was not impressed, but I am not much of a sweet, muscadine wine gal. Tasting area is in the gift shop. Not set up for extended, relaxing visit.
Cavender Creek Vineyards and Winery (written Sep 12, 2012)
Wine: Winery: Ambiance:
Favorite Wine: Jack Ass Red
Cavendar Creek is a rustic winery. Absolutely love the Jack Ass Red. The do not serve food so you may bring your own lunch to eat on the deck. Very reasonable price for tasting. Buy a glass or bottle to enjoy there.
Carolina Vineyards and Boardwalk Winery (written Sep 12, 2012)

It's been a while since I went, but I found it to have alot of sweet wines. In a shopping busy area. Geared to entice shoppers, not a winery to "relax" in. Basically a store with a tasting bar.
Biltmore Estate Winery (written Sep 12, 2012)
Wine: Winery: Ambiance:
Favorite Wine: Old Vine Zinfandel
Everyone should visit Biltmore at least once in their lifetime. Plan to make a whole day of it (at least). Nice winery tour and free tasting of all the wines, about 20 of them! If you put a little cash on the bar early on, the server will know you intend to tip and they will be much more patient with you.
Talon Winery & Vineyards (written Jul 07, 2012)

Favorite Wine: Chambourcin
Beautiful setting in rolling Kentucky hills. The tasting room in inside a historic house. Knowledgable staff. Did charge but generous pours. $5 for 6 tastings. By far my favorite was the Chambourcin. I am a big red drinker and this one is amazing. Other chams are too bitter but this one is perfect. I wish I would have bought more while I was there!
Hanover Winery (written Jul 07, 2012)

Favorite Wine: Vignoles
Small quaint family owned operation. We really enjoyed the tasting room and the interaction with the staff. Small vineyard but authentic. Good whites. Ok reds.
Vinoklet Winery (written Jul 07, 2012)

Favorite Wine: Tears of joy
Beautiful grounds, unfortunately it was well over 100 degrees today so we couldn't be outside much. The tasting was served all at one in small plastic cups that you poured into your glass. Little to no interaction with the staff. In fact the one question I did ask was answered with "I don't really know that much about the wines.". The white wines were good. The reds not so much. I reccomend going when the weather is nice as the outdoor scenery is the best feature of this winery.
Wolf Mountain Vineyards (written May 29, 2012)

Beautiful winery and vineyard. Great wines. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the Dahlonega area.
Tarpon Springs Castle Winery (written May 29, 2012)

Favorite Wine: Sangiovese
Very small portion for tasting (in a Nyquil cup) and alot of pressure to buy.
