Visited on a rainy Saturday and had a great time. You have the option of tasting all whites or all reds. We chose red. There were 5 reds and all were very good.

We visited the winery on New Years eve afternoon and were ushered into a back tasting room that was barely able to handle the number of people in our tasting group. The wines to be tasted were poured in quick succession with no discussion or explanation about the wine. Unfortunately, some of the wines seemed good but you became so focused on how you were being treated that you didn't care about the wines. And we g had to pay for this treatment. Crossed this winery off our list.
Paradise Springs Winery (written Aug 27, 2012)
Wine: Winery: Ambiance:
Worth the trip, but be prepared for the crowds on weekends. The new tasting room has 2 tasting bars but trying to get to them on weekends is a challenge. There needs to be a little more organization with the tastings to move folks along so others can taste the wines. There's ample seating both in the tasting room and on the rear porch, in addition to the lawn area.

Favorite Wine: Papillon
What makes a winery great? For sure the wines, and Chrysalis has some great wines, Norton, Rubiana, Tannat, Albarino, Viognier and others. But the folks at the winery and tasting room at Chrysalis are some of the best we've meet. They're very informative about the history and future plans for the winery as well as how the wines are produced. Summer tasting are outdoors under tents that overlook the vineyard and beautiful Middleburg countryside. Treat yourself and visit Chrysalis. You won't be disappointed.

Came across this vineyard by accident and what luck. Had a fabulous time. The tastings are done at your table. The tasting room is small but functional and the waitstaff is very knowledgeable about the wines and vineyard. It's off the main drag but worth the effort to find.

Great winery. Very personable waitstaff. Wine tasting is done at your table with a good explanation of the wines. Tasting room is in a converted horse stable and the horses are still onsite, but not in the tasting room. Had a great time and highly recommend visiting when in Long Island.
Pindar Vineyards (written Aug 23, 2012)

Visited Pindar on a Monday while vacationing in Conn. Very disappointed. The wines were good, but unfortunately the help was lacking. We were one of three couples tasting and the lady helping us was more concerned about talking to her friends that were nearby. Never told us anything about the wines and we had to ask her to pour the nest selection. Won't go back.
