Fox Meadow Vineyards (written Oct 16, 2008)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 2 stars Ambiance: 2 stars

One red is really good. The crowd was a little rough compared to the other vineyards to the west - toward DC. Too much pushing of case sales and clubs for our taste.

Three Fox Vineyards (written Oct 16, 2008)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 2 stars Ambiance: 4 stars

Good wine. A nice little spot. The owners are nice but a little over-bearing.

Philip Carter Winery (written Oct 16, 2008)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Wine so so at best but the operation is young yet. A little rough looking staff but nice. Time will tell. Worth a try.

Linden Vineyards (written Oct 16, 2008)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Beautiful setting. Interesting back story for owner. Generally good wines especially for wine snobs - you'll love it. Owner takes his own PR a little too seriously. He could border on the pretentious side - one wonders why when he is supposedly a former Peace Corp fellow. Perhaps he needs a reality check - adoration is to be attained along side of genuine humility.

Chateau O'Brien at Northpoint Winery (written Oct 16, 2008)
Wine: 1 stars Winery: 2 stars Ambiance: 2 stars

Favorite Wine: None

So sad. We wasted our time. Pretentious owner and dismal staff. Atmosphere could have been nice but the "eclectic" nature of decor was off the mark in the horsey country. Felt like a winery run by DC club for folks trying to be hip. Skip this one.
