Cardinal Point Vineyard & Winery (written Jan 17, 2012)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars

The tasting was a little disappointing. We arrived and there was only one person trying to jump between several groups at various points in their tasting. Although it was a fun group of people, and very friendly (pet friendly too!), it took an hour to go through a tasting of a few wines. I did enjoy the cabernet franc so we left with a bottle of that, although they didn't send us off with souvenier glasses.

Hill Top Berry Farm & Winery (written Jan 17, 2012)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

This was a fun turn to the other wineries we visited. There wasn't a single wine or mead that we didn't enjoy. I would've been content with a bottle of each in the tasting! It was nice that they had so many available in the tasting to choose from. We went when it was chilly so we weren't able to enjoy the outside. I imagine in the warmer weather it would be a nice place to sit and enjoy a glass (there isn't indoor seating). Another plus is they are pet friendly! Unfortunatley they don't send you off with the glasses to keep as a souvenier, but you can purchase them for $4.

Flying Fox Vineyard & Winery (written Jan 17, 2012)

Favorite Wine: Trio

This winery quickly took over first place for my favorite! They are dog friendly and welcomed us warmly when we walked in. The cozy atmosphere, with a nice fireplace, is perfect. The tasting was filled with great facts, and delicious wine! We couldn't choose which ones to get, so we walked away with a few bottles. The trio was perfect and we were told it will age great...perfect! We loved the fact that we got to walk away with souvenier glasses as well and we were so impressed with the wine and our experience we joined the wine club!

Trump Winery (formerly Kluge Estate Winery) (written Jan 17, 2012)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

They have a gorgeous piece of property and friendly staff. They are not dog friendly but since they weren't serving food at the time they let us in (granted he is only 5 lbs!). The tastings are pretty expensive and don't include a lot of wines, they are split between types so each tasting has about three wines. We choose the sparkling and enjoyed them all, the sparkling noir was impressive. Their tasting area got crowded but they also have tables where you can do a tasting at. Unfortunately we couldn't take the glasses as mementos, so we ended up purchasing them. We walked away with a delicious bottle of the Kluge Rose' as well.

Blenheim Vineyards (written Jan 17, 2012)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars

Favorite Wine: Painted Red

The girl that did our tasting was very knowledgable and friendly. They have two tasting areas (as well as some seating for enjoying a glass or bottle), so people weren't on top of each other. The back deck has a gorgeous view of the open property and vines. They get another plus in our book since they are dog friendly and welcomed us with dog in tow:) We picked up the painted red, painted white and took along our souvenier glasses. They change the painted label each year, it will be fun to see what Dave designs next year!
