Favorite Wine: 2004 Library Edition Meritage
Not only does Mr. Childress know NASCAR Racing he also has a PASSION for wine! On November 19 2008 [2] business colleagues and I visited Childress Vineyards. Wait, let me back up a second. The [3] of us were on our way to Childress Vineyards and we placed a call to the tasting room to see what time they were open until to which they responded 4:30pm and by my watch I knew that they were going to be closed before we got there. But, they said that they would stay and provide us with a tasting. Needless to say we were very happy about this. When we got there, we picked out and paid for the tasting we wanted [We Highly recommend their Signature Tasting @ $15.00]. We then proceeded with our tasting. The lady that provided our tasting [I believe her name was Amy] was very, very knowledgable and provide us the best tasting experience that I have ever had during a tasting, period. On top of this the wines were Excellent with my favorite being the 2004 Library Edition Meritage!!!! The 2005 Reserve Merlot and the 2005 Signature Chardonnay were Wonderful as well. Additionally, their [2] Dessert Wines [Polar & Starbound] were Outstanding. I HIGHLY recommend a visit and a tasing at Childress Vineyards. The winery, people, ambiance, and the WINES are Wonderful! My wife and I found Fenn Valley while we were on a special weekend that I had planned for our 15th wedding anniversary bed & breakfast trip to South Haven, MI. We attended their Pre Release Tasting in March 2007 and again in March 2008 and have had a wonderful time both times. The staff and Doug are all wonderful people and the wines are excellent. A very nice place to visit.

My wife and I visited Tabor Hill in the fall of 2007 for a tasting and a late lunch/early dinner. The individuals helping with the tasting were very nice and willing to answer questions. The lunch/dinner was very good; the food was great; and the wait staff was very good and nice as well. The ambiance of the tasting room and resturant were outstanding. All in all this was a great way to spend a day with someone you love. I highly reccommend a visit, a tasting, and a lunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed. Don Schellenberg

Favorite Wine: White - Galena Creek White [2007]; Red - Cabernet Sauvignon [2006]; Fruit - Galena Creek Blackberry
During some down time on a business trip to Dublin, VA I was in my hotel room and got on Catch Wine to see if there were any vineyards / wineries close by. It turned out that West Wind Farm Vineyard & Winery was so a business companion and I decided to stop by. David Manley [Owner] treated us to a free tasting of all there wines. He was [is] a very friendly host and his wines were outstanding. As it turned out the winery was have a wine dinner that evening and David had [2] tickets for this dinner available and offered them to us which we gladly accepted. The dinner was fantastic! The food and the wine pairings were wonderful and the atmosphere was truly grand. If you are in the area and have a bit of time do yourself a favour and go and visit David and West Wind Farm Vineyard & Winery, you will not be dissappointed. Don Schellenberg
