Tangled Oaks Vineyard (written Sep 12, 2011)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 5 stars

Favorite Wine: Holiday Cheer $11

This was the best stop of a 3 winery day. Great store with lots of items even for the non wine enthusiast. Tasted 7 wines and bought 2-Carlos and Holiday Cheer. Had crackers to go with the tasting, I appreciated that. Server invited us to go into the vineyard and try the grapes right off the vines. They were delicious! Unfortunately for my dd and dad there was no grape juice to buy here.

Royal Manor Vineyard and Winery (written Sep 12, 2011)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Favorite Wine: Royal Passion $11.99

The owner was absent when we visited and his sister waited on us. She did not know much about the wines though. We tasted 10 wines and liked more than half of them. I cannot tell you though if they are all made with grapes or just fruit as it does not state on the label and the sister didn't know.

Log Cabin Farm & Vineyard and Winery (written Sep 12, 2011)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 2 stars Ambiance: 2 stars

Favorite Wine: Log Cabin White $10.99

This was our last of 3 wineries on a hot Saturday in September. One of the owners waited on us. There is a fee now of $2 pp for the tasting of 5 wines. I ended up buying the LC white which is a Carlos blend. They were also the only winery that day that had juices. They carried both Scuppernog and Muscadine. Both my dd and my dad were happy with that. Not much of a retail shop though. Some sauces and jellies and that was it.

Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards (written Aug 07, 2011)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Favorite Wine: bought 2-Proprietor's Reserve and Pink Cresendo

It's all in who your tour guide is. Some all more knowledgeable than the others. Store is nice and has a lot of items all about wine and the food it goes with. Wasn't too pricey.

Chautauqua Vineyards and Winery (written Jul 31, 2011)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars

Ladies in shop were nice. I did not taste any here as we had just come from Emerald Coast and they are the same wines. Did buy the Muscadine juice for my dd

Three Oaks Winery (written Jul 31, 2011)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 1 stars

Douglas Biddle waited on me and he is no conversationalist. he barely said 2 words about the wine or what I was tasting. Store is mostly old lady stuff, not much about the wine.

Volcano Winery (written Jul 21, 2011)

We visited here after walking through Volcano NP. Great location for a winery.

Biltmore Estate Winery (written Jul 21, 2011)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars

Favorite Wine: I bought a white, do not remeber which one as this was 6 years ago

Restaurant was great as well as the gardens. Winery was crowded and it was my first tasting, and I did not know how to do it. Very busy place.
