Volant Mill Winery (written Apr 27, 2007)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars
I'll admit I didn't have high hopes for the quality of wine here before visiting but I was pleasantly surprised. Solid table and fruit wines. The raspberry wine is unique - almost syrupy, it's so sweet.

Laurel Mountain Vineyard (written Apr 27, 2007)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars
A friendly place, but not the most impressive wine - it tasted a little "young." Their mulled wine (we were there around the holidays) was quite agreeable, though.

Stone's Throw Winery (written Apr 27, 2007)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 1 stars
I wasn't too impressed with the staff's snooty attitude, nor with the nondescript Chardonnay.

Door Peninsula Winery (written Apr 27, 2007)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
The motherload of all fruit wines - name a fruit and Door Peninsula probably has a wine for it (even mango!), and a good one at that. Stick to these ... the grape wines aren't quite as special. Watch out for tour groups - when it gets crowded, you might not be able to taste all the wines you'd like.

Nashoba Valley Winery (written Apr 27, 2007)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
Great fruit wines in a lovely country winery. I also tried the grappa, which tastes like isopropyl alcohol (but it's supposed to be strong like that).
