Plagido's Winery (written Dec 24, 2009)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars

Favorite Wine: Red Table

Amalthea Cellars (written Dec 14, 2009)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars

Favorite Wine: Think I bought a chardonnay.

The way to a visitor heart is through his stomach. This winery put out crackers and some nice cheeses, even Brie. Add to that a very knowledgeable and super enthusiastic hostess, and great chateau-ish historic atmosphere, and you've got something! In the past, other hosts have been equally knowledgeable. The friends I was with bought cases -- hence the five rating for wine.

Tomasello Winery (written Dec 14, 2009)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 4 stars

Favorite Wine: none here

We (a few couples) visit wineries two to four times a year. The wine here is about average. Nice looking place. But, the people are rude. Interestingly, because of separate-visit cases of rudeness to two people in our group we dive right by Tomasello! We purchased hundreds of dollars of wine at Plagidos, Amalthea & Bellview -- all a pleasure to visit (and still free, too). 12/09
