Sonoita Vineyards (written Jul 20, 2007)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
We are old hacks at this wine tasting game, that being said, we decided to branch out from our native California to try the Southwest. A beautiful setting, superb Cabernet. The winery is the largest building in the area, but fits in nicely with the landscape. We spoke with the winemaker Fran, nice guy reminded us of the great experience we had with Gary at the Village of Elgin WInery. They had problems with their vineyards and brought in som fruit from other areas, but the wines were quite good.

Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars
We are old hacks at this wine tasting game, that being said, we decided to branch out from our native California to try the Southwest. A huge selection of wine. The building was an old bordello and the owner is great. He really knows wine and has a genuine love for his art, he spoke highly of all of the other wineries, something you just don't get in CA. The wines: Old World Cuvee, this wine is phenominal, one of our favourites, period. We also found a review of this wine in the book "Food Luvs Wine" and it is the featured wine on the book's website. They are also building a new winery and had some wines from it there, the Vita, Amore ed Arte is a pure joy, superb wine. Tombstone Red, a bit sweet for my taste but my wife loved it, she suggested to buy it and serve with BBQ. It went really well. We also liked the Dry Rose. We enjoyed the wines so much we bought several cases, they have a great deal for customers at the winery. Our favourite experience of the Southern Arizona Wineries!!!!!

Callaghan Vineyards (written Jul 20, 2007)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 2 stars Ambiance: 2 stars
We are old hacks at this wine tasting game, that being said, we decided to branch out from our native California to try the Southwest. We have heard good things about the Callaghan wines and the wines did not dissappoint, the winery is a working building, so it was very crowded and lacked ambiance, but the wines made up for that.

Arizona Vineyards (written Jul 20, 2007)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars
We are old hacks at this wine tasting game, that being said, we decided to branch out from our native California to try the Southwest. Arizona Vineyards was our first stop in the Southern Arizona Wine Country, the winery is outside of a border town and is in an old building with concrete tanks. I do not think that the wine is made from viniferia, but the people are a blast.
