Montelle Winery (written Oct 10, 2010)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Favorite Wine: Vignoles

Last place we visited on the day. We might have been burnt out, but the wines were too sweet and the patronage a little rough. Customer service seemed to want to negative sell other places. Nice view though and the food looked good. Lots and lots of rules about no buses, no limos, no large groups, no outside food. Still, it was very busy and very cheap. My husband liked it more than me.

Mount Pleasant Winery (written Oct 10, 2010)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 5 stars

Favorite Wine: Cab

You can see why they have the highest ratings from the big wine publications. Impressive. The tasting room experience is completely different than the other places. Riedel stemware and Bissenger chocolates. Nice touch. The Cab is out of this world. Word of warning to those looking for super sweet wines or fruit wines, they don't serve them there. They also do not allow outside food or beverages, but the food they serve there is really good. Might turn a cheaper person off, but what they do, they do it well. Dog friendly.

Augusta Winery (written Oct 10, 2010)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 1 stars

Favorite Wine: Vignoles

The server there was almost bitter that other wineries in the area charge for tastings and she did not. Almost proud that she gave away free booze. After tasting the blackberry wine, I wouldn't charge for it either. Awkward place. Vignoles was okay.
