Three Lakes Winery (written Aug 13, 2012)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars

Favorite Wine: Cranberry and Blackberry.

Loved this winery. My husband and both loved the woman serving the samples (wish I looked at her name) She made us feel sooooo welcome. She really had a conversational skills. We told her we were there for our 30th anniv. and she told us hers was coming up. The wines were excellent. My husband tried a few different ones than I did and then we tried a sip of each others. The other sales clerks were very friendly too. We totally felt welcome here.

LedgeStone Vineyards (written Aug 16, 2011)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Went there last year. The place and people were great. Tried wine from all over plus their own.

Harbor Ridge Winery (written Aug 16, 2011)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars

Favorite Wine: Mademoiselle

I am hoping that 5 is the best on the rating scale. My husband and I went into this after going to two other wineries. We weren't going to stop at any other ones because the two were not terrible but weren't the best either. We saw Harbor Ridge Winery and thought okay 1 more we can do that. I am soooooooooooooo glad we did. Even though they are a newer winery, they were the best as far as the ambiance could ever be. Everybody in that place were so friendly. It was a nice and relaxing time, with a lot of laughing. You knew they really loved people. They said that they only make 2 of the wines there so we thought okay those would be the ones we try. Loved them both. One was Rocking Heads Red (red) and the other was Mademoiselle (white). The person then had a try a Espress, Chocolate Wine and that was great too. What could be better than my three favorite things (coffee, chocolate and wine). They had us try some cheese and told us about the cheese place in the next building. I would go there again anytime I go to Door County. Thanks Harbor Ridge you were awesome.

Door Peninsula Winery (written Aug 16, 2011)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Favorite Wine: Chocolate Cherry

Beautiful building. We were there on a very busy Friday in August. The stillery was quiet and the person working there was very friendly. The winery part of the store was a little harder to handle. We will try that again at a less busy time. Tried a few wines though. Did love the chocolate cherry and plum wine.

Simon Creek Vineyard & Winery (written Aug 16, 2011)
Wine: 3 stars Winery: 3 stars Ambiance: 3 stars

Favorite Wine: Voignier

My husband and I were impressed with the look of the place. However, we felt that they were more concerned about a tour that was coming than that we were there. We weren't totally ignored though. There were a few too many girls working at the check out registers.

Trout Springs Winery (written Aug 18, 2009)
Wine: 4 stars Winery: 2 stars Ambiance: 1 stars

Favorite Wine: Pear Wine

I really loved the wine but the misleading ads here on the web. We had to pay for our wine tasting, even after buying a case of wine. When looking at the winery the owners couldn't even acknowledge us. We probably won't go there again. The sales girl was good and knowledgable. You need to change the ad here and let people know they do have to pay for taste testing.

von Stiehl Winery (written Aug 11, 2009)
Wine: 5 stars Winery: 5 stars Ambiance: 5 stars

Favorite Wine: Naughty Girl

I loved the atmosphere in the store. The people were wonderful. I loved all the wines that we tried. I loved the Apple Harvest and Naughty Girl the best. The Apple Harvest tasted wonderful with pork roast and pork chops. Can't wait until Thanksgiving to try it with the turkey. I have told many people about Naughty girl. I love the smoothness of it. I am not usually a red wine drinker but this I love. I found it in a store in Sheboygan. Yeah!

Favorite Wine: can't remember

We haven't visited this winery for a few years. What I remember about the wines we purchased from there was good. I remember trying a plum wine but can't remember what other wines we tried from there.
