South River Vineyard (written Apr 10, 2007)
Wine: 2 stars Winery: 1 stars Ambiance: 1 stars
during a recent visit the owner did not like that we had a large party, we were greater than 10 people. We purchased three bottles of wine and four ice wine tastes. The owner said that we could not be seated together - when we did sit together, he accused us of being drunk and causing problems. all of the people around us supported the fact that he was rude and unprofessional - they even took pictures for us. I could not believe what a jerk he was. I would encourage anyone going out to the winery area of Lake County to choose a more inviting, hospitable place. This place will never see another penny from anyone of us, those seated next to us or anyone I can encourge to spend their money at any of the other fantastic winerys in the area. It was a great afternoon - with the exception of the most horrible service I have ever been exposed to, South River Vineyard.
